Many people consider Mad Ronin as the best Ramen shop in Bali. I personally haven’t tried any a lot of ramen and the thought of gettin one in Bali never crossed my mind. Cause duh, there’s too many suckling pig, nasi campur and other brunch menus why should I think about ramen lol. So honestly I didn’t expect too much, not until I took my first step to their place.

Mad Ronin goes all out on their placed proved by their decoration. Custom skateboard with Japanese theme painting, super artsy mural, and even the bar table is so Japanese. Definitely caught every eyes in busy Petinget Street.

Tonkotsu Ramen

After minutes of taking photos, we finally decided to go and order the TONKOTSU RAMEN. We went for classic and black garlic soup. You better go for classic if this is your visit and you better be ready cause this ramen is HAWT AF.

The broth was light, combined with super soft noodle. Nice portion for dinner and nice toppings on the side. The only downside was the chasu didn’t really melt in your mouth.

Mad Ronin embraces the authenticity of Japanese Ramen but also bring the local goodness (they have laksa ramen). To be called the best ramen in Bali is definitely a debatable subject. Nonetheless, their place was super cozy with perfect amount of seating, just like the ones in Japan. Also impressed how friendly the staff was. Will surely come back to have their craft beers.

40 Thieves

The excitement don’t stop there. Above the Mad Ronin is a super cool speakeasy bar which served amazing cocktails. Pay a visit even just for a minute to see the super cool bar space which also only accomodates less than 50 people.
