Platinum Mall and Pratunam Traditional Market is a must destination for tourist who want to do wholesale shopping while in Bangkok. But there’s a catch. When you’re there, don’t forget to taste the hyped SAB X2’s Wonton Noodle!

The noodle stall located at Soi 19 (Street 19), across Platinum Fashion Mall. The kiosk opens at 9am, and it was already full of people when I arrived around 10.30am. It’s quite close too, around 15 minutes walking from Platinum Mall.

I queued for just 10 minutes and ordered their 3 Wonton Noodle with Soup, and 1 portion of Pork Rice. The noodle was dry but the pork was tender. The portions for me, are too small. The pork rice is probably a better option for me. The pork is well seasoned and there’s a nice mix of fat in the pork. It’s also came with boiled egg. Come  early if you want to order the pork rice, they usually sold out first.

They put many “NO BRANCH IN SINGAPORE” sign, and yes they’re trying to inform you that they are not associated with the SOI 19 Wonton Mee in Singapore.

Sab X2’s dish considered quite pricey for a Thai street food. It’s portion is also quite small for 100 baht. I mean if you’ve been to Bangkok before, you’d know that you can get pretty decent food for only 50 baht of less. But if you want to taste the hype of the wonton noodle, go for it.

Overall, I think Sab X2 is too overrated, too overhyped when compared to what they have to offer. Not only the food was pretty basic. The service also pretty bad. Maybe because it’s too packed inside the stall? Will think again to pay a visit there.
