Pekan Raya Jakarta is having their 50th anniversary this year! The last time I went to PRJ was 2 years ago, but since then, this event hasn’t change that much. Or maybe I was just putting my expectation a little too high (like a different kind of attraction or something)
PRJ is located in JIExpo Kemayoran. They have more than 2500 brands, 150+ live events and 125.000m2 exhibition area. I bet you won’t be able to see the whole thing if you’re just here for only a couple hours.
Can’t stop buying lumpia semarang
PRJ provides you 10.000 parking spaces for cars, and 20.000 spaces for motorcycles that spreads into 9 entrances. A little pointer, I think it’s better for you to go there walk, using public transportation, or you can just go using gojek as it seems very hard to get a parking space and the entrance to the event was very confusing (at least for me).
The entrance fee is ranging from IDR 20.000 to 35.000 depends on which day you visit them.
Probably because this year’s PRJ was held near the long holiday of eid Mubarak and school break, even though it was a weekday, there’s already a long queue when I arrived to the gate. It was a very hot day in Jakarta, and if you’re a weak like me, just go to the hall area where there’s AC and just wait till the sun goes down ot explore the open space area (and yes, the open space area is also even more beautiful at night).
If you’re a deal hunter, you definitely have to visit PRJ. They literally have everything from cars, motorcycles, electronics, furniture, gadgets, and even beauty products. The thing is, even though I didn’t shop anything from there, I still enjoy my visit especially when accompanied by bundled of snacks and the legend american donut!
